Web Video Publishing Technologies

Streaming Video Provider is a web video streaming host company providing solutions for web video publishing. Web video or webpage/website video publishing is the process of adding video to a page on the web. There are several ways to add video to a webpage - from player link to fully integrated video player into the page content.

There are basically three technologies created by three different companies to add video to a webpage or create a web TV Channel.

The oldest one is Real Media Video with their RealPlayer®. It used to be a pretty good technology for its time. You had to install their player on your system in order to play video from the internet. It was a private paid technology and didn't get wide acceptance by publishers.

Another technology, still available nowadays, is the Windows Media Player/Server based video delivery. This technology has some very good points: widely available and pre-installed on all new windows based pc's and very good performance for high bitrate video playback. The drawbacks of windows media platform are: very bad backward support, poor support by browsers, no support on Mac and Linux, and finally this technology requires considerable investments by video delivery companies.

Flash Video it is the newest of the three. It is entirely free for the clients. It is supported on 98-99% of the computers (including Mac and Linux machines) that have the access to the internet. It provides incomparable quality.

We have chosen Flash Video platform because it has the widest access to web surfers, it has probably the best quality and it provides unparalleled web page embedding options. Our solutions take advantage of these capabilities and add many advanced features. Flash Video has been also chosen by many of the largest video delivery networks on the web, like YouTube.
